LARP Awards Categories

Lifetime Achievement Award: We are accepting Nominations for the Lifetime Achievement Award, so if you know anyone who has been and continues to be, an active part of LARP, submit their name and at least one full paragraph about the person to LAAnom@larpyawards.com.

NOTE: This page will be updated on or before April 01, 2007 with new and revised categories. We thank all of the dozens of people who submitted entries in the last few months.

Best Solo Action Sequence: Any type of action scenario can be submitted, from a physical challenge adventure to a bartering scenario between two merchants.

Best Group Action Sequence: Your group in combat (with Sword, Gun, Magic, Laser, Saber, Boxing, Etc.) against an adversary. Your group presenting itself. A group in a role playing scenario where information gathering is the focus.

Best Costume: Do you have one of the finest costumes around? If so, you want to submit your entry for this award.

Best Makeup: If the make-up job for your character is near perfect, why not be recognized for it.

Best Creature and/or Monster: We are searching for the coolest looking creature/monster out there. not only will you be awarded a LARPY statue, but we expect you to bring the costume/outfit to the LARP Award Show and parade the masterpiece around in front of the guests.

Best Prop: Props help to immerse the live adventurer into the scenario presented. Prop submissions range from books to mechanical robots to pen and paper to room sized sun dials, to small mechanical puzzles, to full scale chairs, swords, light sabers, staves, rods, wands, chests, to name but a few. Is your unique prop the coolest looking or operate using innovative methodologies?

Best Weapon: We are searching for the coolest looking weapon that has ever been made. It can be a medieval weapon, a storm trooper's assault blaster, a gnome's mechanical weapon, or any other type of weapon used by a Film Fan or at a Live Action Role Playing event.

Best Set Design: Do you have an entire set that was created for an event that is just incredibly awesome? The best set design can come from a single room, an outside yard, a wooded forest, multiple rooms, etc. etc.

Funniest LARP Scenario / Sequence: If a scene or scenario made you laugh hysterically, then it should be submitted to this category.

Best-Looking LARP Male: Who is the best looking Male LARPer? This must be in-costume. Make-up is permitted.

Best-Looking LARP Female: Who is the best looking Female LARPer? This must be in-costume. Make-up is permitted.

Favorite Band: We are looking for the Favorite Major Label Band and Favorite Unsigned LARP-related Band so get your votes in now. Any Genre of music can be nominated.
